Korint raises €5 million with Ventech and asserts its ambitions with big names in insurance.
5 sept. 2024
Only 18 months after its first funding round and the launch of its offering, the Insurtech Korint announces a fundraising of €5 million led by Ventech, with renewed confidence from 360 Capital. This second round brings the total amount of financing raised by Korint since its creation at the end of 2022 to €7 million.
The first round in March 2023 allowed Korint to launch a decisive innovation: a SaaS "core platform" that enables insurers and brokers to quickly and massively deploy new insurance products. This platform relies on a unique logic engine that manages the entire life of an insurance contract in real time, even the most complex one (multiple product types such as "flexible mobility, deferred endorsements, multiple additions...). Meanwhile, cloud hosting, scalable infrastructure, and API architecture give clients flexibility and control over their product management.
This solution has already attracted major names in the sector, such as Wakam for the launch of the first insurance dedicated to employees' bicycles, or WTW for a car assistance platform. Recently, the insurtech also became the digital platform of the brokerage firm Yeet Assurances and some players in large brokerage for the distribution of the Employee Bike offer. New signatures are expected in the coming weeks.
This new fundraising will allow Korint to strengthen its development team, particularly with tech and insurance profiles, in order to accelerate the growth of its platform and continue to innovate. With this fundraising, the company aims to definitively address a significant need from insurance players looking for new 100% digital management tools capable of handling complex B2B insurance policies.
“We were impressed by the technicality of Korint's solutions. The technologies used can manage the most advanced and innovative insurance products. It’s a major competitive advantage. Supporting ambitious and bold entrepreneurs who use technology to advance industries is the foundation of Ventech's investment thesis. It was a natural choice for us to support Jean-Baptiste, Martin, and their teams!” says Jean BOURCEREAU, President and Managing Partner of Ventech.
“We are delighted to see Korint confirm all the promises we perceived during our first funding a year and a half ago. The need for digitalization in the market is clear, and this new fundraising will give them all the means to become the reference in the market,” concludes Thomas NIVARD, Partner at 360 Capital.
Korint was founded by two insurance experts: Jean-Baptiste Limare, founder of the insurtech Veygo and then Kooalys, who is now CEO of the new structure. Next to him, Martin Gross, founder of CommoPrices and then Kooalys, serves as CTO.
The insurtech offers a next-generation insurance platform that allows insurers to deploy the best products, simply, quickly, and in a scalable manner. The Korint platform is designed to manage all property and casualty products, from the simplest (home insurance or "gadget") to the most complex (multi-product insurance such as "flexible mobility").
